المثقاب الدوّار (Rotary Drill) هو أداة كهربائية تُستخدم للحفر في مجموعة متنوعة من المواد مثل الخشب، المعدن، البلاستيك، وحتى بعض أنواع الخرسانة الخفيفة. على عكس المثقاب المطرقي (Impact Drill) الذي يضيف حركة طرق، يعمل المثقاب الدوّار فقط بحركة دوران مستمرة دون تأثيرات طرق قوية.
أهم استخداماته:
1. الحفر في الخشب والمعدن والبلاستيك – مثالي لإنشاء ثقوب دقيقة في المواد الناعمة نسبيًا.
2. أعمال النجارة والتجميع – يُستخدم في تثبيت الألواح الخشبية وصنع الفتحات لتركيب البراغي والمسامير.
3. تركيب الأجهزة المنزلية – يساعد في تثبيت الحوامل، الرفوف، والمفصلات بسهولة.
4. السباكة والصيانة الكهربائية – يمكن استخدامه في فتح ثقوب لأنابيب السباكة أو تمرير الأسلاك الكهربائية داخل الجدران.
